Common Name: Borneo Fern
Trichomanes Javanicum, more commonly known as Borneo Fern, is a slow-growing tropical species that originates from South East Asia. In the wild, this filmy fern can be found growing in very wet and shaded environments near small bodies of water. While it can withstand submerged conditions, Trichomanes Javanicum is not a true aquatic and should not be placed in an aquarium permanently. Favorable conditions include high humidity and lower lighting levels as this species will not tolerate the latter. Its foliage is slightly translucent and on the thin side, making it extra prone to drying out.
When grown successfully, the Borneo Fern is a beautiful addition to enclosed planted setups. This particular listing includes a Borneo Fern attached to a bonsai driftwood. Place as desired in your terrarium, vivarium or enclosed planted setup / container garden!
