Common Name: Philodendron Pink Princess
Philodendron Pink Princess is a rare house plant that made waves on social media for good reason! Philodendron Pink Princess, often shortened to PPP, is a variegated Philodendron plant that includes shades of pink in the mix. If the color isn’t enough, Pink Princess is known for being fairly hardy and undemanding, increasing its appeal. This Philodendron plant will do best when planted in a standard aroid mix that maintains good drainage while retaining some moisture. Lighting should be bright, but not direct as too much sun or harsh lighting will burn the plant. Like other Philodendron species, increased humidity levels, warmer temperatures, quality grow medium and fertilizer during grow season will keep Philodendron Pink Princess happy. If care conditions aren’t met, the plant may revert to standard green leaves and lose its variegation.
Propagation can be done via cuttings as long as the plant has a viable node or growth point. Humidity can be increased through the use of a humidifier, pebble tray or also by placing the plant in an enclosed container that is opened periodically for fresh air flow.
