Log wood is characterized by its long and straight barky textures. Its elements make a perfect candidate for forest style aquascapes or as fallen trees in a riverbend. Log Wood is natural, aquarium-safe and also a great candidate for use as structural reinforcement or as a foundation for supporting large and heavy hardscapes.
As with most aquarium driftwoods, Log Wood is naturally buoyant and may initially float. Aquarium driftwoods leach tannins and may discolor water temporarily. This is not cause for concern and will decrease over time as you perform more water changes. We recommend soaking aquarium driftwood prior to use or placing a heavy weight to ensure it remains in the desired position.
Average length: 15″
Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.
