Common Name: Echinodorus Osiris
Echinodorus Osiris, commonly referred to as the Melon Sword, is a unique Amazon Sword plant that features green and reddish foliage. Like other Swords, Echinodorus Osiris is a larger specimen and can be used in larger aquariums or as a single display plant on a Wabi Kusa. The plant has a rosette growth pattern and has large round leaves. When grown under ideal conditions, such as high light and with CO2 injection, the leaves will develop a beautiful red tint. Due to its size, Echinodorus Osiris is typically grown in the background and will nicely fill any area of the tank.
Melon Swords are heavy root feeders and should be planted in a rich aquarium substrate for proper growth. If planted in sand, this aquarium plant should be supplemented with nutrients via root tabs or a routine dosing schedule.
Notes:
- Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants. They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the aquarium.
- Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.

- CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
